Starhub-SEC School Green Award 2017

ITE College East received the Starhub-SEC School Green Award – Lotus Sustained Achievement Award from Singapore Environmental Council on 8 Nov 2017 during the School Green Award ceremony which was held in ITE College East.

A record of 410 schools took part in the SEC-Starhub School Green Awards (SGA) this year. Six out of every 10 school-age students participated in this year’s award, taking their message about conservation and recycling into their communities.

Sponsored by StarHub, the SGA is administered by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC) and encourages young people to turn their passion for the environment into action, gaining an understanding of environmental sustainability along the way.

  • Lotus Sustained Achievement Award – Achieved on third consecutive Lotus Award.
  • Lotus Award – Schools with an overall score of 95% and above will receive the Lotus Award.
    The school must show evidence of both of the following:
  • showcased at least one innovative environmental project; and,
  • participated in an external activity to promote Singapore’s sustainability

This year, a total of 146 out of 410 schools received the Lotus Sustained Achievement
