The signing ceremony of the MOU between Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and the Siloso Beach Resort Sentosa (SBR) on 03 Nov 2017 starts the partnership in creating environmental awareness amongst ITE staff and students, building technical competencies of ITE staff in Environmental Sustainability and Conservation, and preparing ITE students to be work-ready through the Enhanced Internship Programme.
This MOU was signed by Ms Low Khah Gek, Chief Executive Officer (Institute of Technical Education) and Mr Kelvin Ng, Managing Director (SBR). Mr Lim Teck Lee, Chairman (ITE Environmental Sustainability Initiatives Committee) and Mr Karl Fischer, Manager (Corporate Social Responsibility of Siloso Beach Resort), witnessed the signing ceremony which took place at the ITE Eco Conference 2017, at ITE College West.
The MOU establishes the framework for ITE to collaborate with SBR in areas pertaining to Education and Awareness, Capability Building and Enhanced Internship for ITE Students. Food Waste Recycling and setting up Vermicomposting System in ITE, co-organizing Eco relevant events related to Environmental Sustainability and Conservation, and ITE – SBR Youth Eco-Ambassador Awards are some of the projects mentioned in this MOU.
